Manhattan Chamber Philharmonic

David Michael Wolff
   Principal Conductor
and
Artistic Director

Barletta Weekly: “A musician and a virtuoso.”

Rome Observer: “A conductor of transcendental visions and architectural mastery.  He embraces the orchestra.”

Santa Barbara News-Press: Wolff's performance…was electrifying, heart stopping. With soaring lines pealing away layers of underlying passion the scene became intensely personal..... nearly impossible to watch, spellbinding. The audience went into an uproar and those that were there are still talking about it."

Seattle Times: A highly impressive performance . . . he could have a first-rank career. It's going to be fascinating to watch his progress."

Manhattan is a place of so many concerts and events for world-class stars, yet there’s scant opportunity for younger and lesser-known artists to gain experience and advance their careers.  The young artist is often crowded out before even being able to make his first professional steps.  The Manhattan Chamber Philharmonic, aspiring to help fill this void, has a special Mission: To grant opportunities to up-and-coming Concert Artists to perform concerti in important international venues with an Orchestra made up of some of Manhattan’s young virtuosi.

Our last concert, in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall on April 4th, 2008, at 8:30pm, brought the full house to its feet for repeated ovations!

Our 2009-10 season, soon to be announced, will feature a dozen soloists from around the world.
